The Kwikset Premis Smart Lock is compatible with Apple HomeKit™ technology - which allows you to "talk to unlock" your door using Siri® on your iPhone®, iPad® or iPod® touch with iOS 9.3. Use the Apple HomeKit™ app to set the "scene" or automate a variety of settings in your home. For example, create a Goodnight Scene that locks the door, lowers the thermostat, and turns off the lights. Initiate your customized scenes with the touch of a button. The smooth design of the Premis is pleasing to the eye and will coordinate with whichever Kwikset handle, lever or knob set you prefer. The Premis is smart, secure, and stylish.
The Kwikset Premis™ Touchscreen Smart Lock works with Apple HomeKit™ technology and responds to Siri®, letting you use your iPhone®, iPad® or iPod touch® to "talk to unlock" your door. Control your lock anywhere, anytime by placing it near an Apple TV®.
HomeKit™ requires an iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod touch® with iOS 9.3 or later.
Controlling HomeKit-enabled accessories away from home requires an Apple TV® (3rd generation or later) with Apple TV® software 7.0 or later and an iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod touch® with iOS 9.3 or later.
For best results, lock should be within 40 feet of an Apple TV® for remote capability.
SecureScreen™ Technology: This patent pending feature is used to defeat "smudge" attacks, where a user code is compromised through the detection of frequently used numbers from oily residues on the keypad. This feature works by highlighting 2 random numbers and having you press them before entering your code so that over time there are fingerprints on all the keys.
Automatic Door Handing: The first time this product is installed it will automatically detect the handing on your door and set itself up accordingly. This removes any doubt about getting the handing correct and frees you from having to reconfigure anything.
